I'm here! Just a little late for my 18 week update!
So let's dive right in! What's Laura Kate up to this week?
She's yawning (how cute is that?! I wish I had a camera in there!), hiccuping, sucking her fingers, and practicing how to swallow. She's been quite active the last couple of days, and apparently does not like it when I sneeze because she lets me know every single time with a couple swift kicks!
Is it wrong that it just makes me want to sneeze more?
TB says she's about 5 and a half inches this week and 6.7 ounces. But since the doctor estimated her weight at 8 ounces on Monday there's no telling what she really weighs, I don't necessarily trust the doctor's estimate to be too accurate...so maybe somewhere in between....
Either way she's getting big! And I love it!

Ignore the crappy hair and glasses, this was right before bed!
And for the record the walls in her nursery are actually a really bright and vibrant blue. I'm not sure why they look so dull and dreary in the photos!
Total weight gain: +3 until proven otherwise at my next appointment
Maternity clothes? Yes please! I need more, I'm wearing the same 5 tops over and over and over!
Stretch marks? No.
Sleep: Sleeping pretty good. I feel like I could use more and I'm getting plenty. Sleeping on my side is still crappy and I always wake up to find myself on my back which I keep reading is bad! :(
Best moment this week: Feeling her tiny legs kick!
Miss Anything? Nope!
Movement: Oh yes, Laura Kate is a wiggle worm!
Food cravings: Milk. I will fight you to the death over some milk. And while you'd think this a good healthy craving, I'm really having to limit my intake! On Wednesday we were out of milk so I bought a pint size on my way to work to get me through the morning. After work I planned on getting more but forgot until around 5pm at which point I went out and grabbed a gallon. By 10pm....um, I'd drank a third of the gallon at least! That's a LOT of fat and calories that I can assure we don't need, I eat enough! So now I only get two glasses a day...it sucks! ;)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really. Every once in a while I feel a bit queasy but nothing that I can pinpoint as the cause.
Gender prediction: She's definitely our sweet little girl!
Labor Signs: Geez, hope not!
Symptoms: Sore boobies, heartburn, occasional mild nausea, oh and that wonderful "pressure" I talked about last week...yeah, not so much pressure anymore but apparently pubic symphysis disfuction! Yay me! I'll let you look that one up if you're interested, its nothing serious, just a pain....literally!
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: So happy!!!
Looking forward to: Every single day from here on out!

ReplyDeleteYay! Happy 16 weeks to you and sweet Laura Kate! You look adorable with your cute little baby bump. And I love that you want to yawn more, just to feel her kick. I'd totally do the same thing! Glad things are progressing so well :-)
